About The Conill Institute for Chronic Illness

Mission Statement

The Conill Institute for Chronic Illness provides education for healthcare professionals to increase empathy, knowledge, and awareness about people living with chronic illness and physical disability.

Purpose

Over 54 million Americans live with chronic illness or disability. The Conill Institute for Chronic Illness provides training programs and written information for professionals in order to promote the well-being of people whose lives are impacted by disability and chronic illness.

Objectives

  1. Provide education and produce written resources for health care professionals about the unique needs of people living with chronic illness and physical disabilities;
  2. Advocate for policy, services, and resources for people living with chronic illness and physical disabilities;
  3. Serve as consultants to organizations interested in furthering awareness, knowledge, and empathy toward people living with chronic illness and physical disabilities.
